Varanasi is the fountain head of knowledge-US Ambassador

Varanasi, July 27 (CMC) The US Ambassador to India Nancy J Powell praised the Cultural Capital of India, Varanasi and said that it was the fountain head of all the knowledge.
On a three day visit to the holy city of Varanasi, earstwhile Kashi, Powell visited Kashi Hindu Vishwavidyala (Banaras Hindu University) on Thursday and today she enjoyed the world famous boating in the early hours at the Varanasi Ganga Ghats.
Amazed at the beauty of the Ganga Ghats and the Spiritualism of Kashi she said, "Varanasi is the fountain head of all the knowledge and spiritualism in the world."
Taking keen interest in the Art, Culture and the life of Kashi she visited all the important places inside BHU and showed a special interest in the 'Bharat Kala Bhavan.'
She also met the Vice Chancellor of BHU Prof Lalji Singh, the renowned scientist of Genetics and asked for more and more educational exchange between BHU and the universities of the USA.
